We are people. A small growing family.

Since these formulas were originally created for us — to improve and protect our own skin — we tested, tried, and eventually found vendors we genuinely trust. They sit on the more expensive side of the market, and we chose them anyway. We wanted superior ingredients to make superior products. Cheap doesn’t always mean bad, and expensive doesn’t always mean good. But our vendors’ prices reflect their track records, their certifications, and their manufacturing processes. That’s what we’re paying for. We don’t use cheap or inferior ingredients. This is the skin you live in. It’s a luxury.

“Skin Specific”
Some products on the market label themselves as having different products for different skin types — but they’re really just the same formula listed under every category. Nothing wrong with that, technically. We just chose to do it differently. We create “skin specific” products genuinely designed for each skin type. The ingredients in our oily skin formulation are not the same as the ingredients in our dry skin formulation. The difference shows up in the carrier and essential oil combinations of our face oils and body butters, and in the clay and powder combinations of our cleansing masks. We use skin-specific essential oils in our formulations rather than dried organic herbs or flowers, because essential oils are the concentrated, potent versions of those plants. And we only use essential oils that benefit specific skin concerns — never just for fragrance or filler. That way, every drop is doing double duty on your Pwoblèm.

All Natural & Pure ≠ Organic
Most products on the market — skincare and food — that scream “all natural” or “pure” are not actually organic. According to the USDA, there are specific guidelines a product must meet to be certified organic. And even then, USDA certification only requires 95% organic content; the remaining 5% can be other things. Our products are formulated with ingredients sourced from 100% USDA Certified Organic vendors across the board. Natural and organic don’t automatically mean better — but we make sure every ingredient we use is safe, effective, and tested by us first before anyone else gets it. We’re organic. Not just “natural and pure.”
We strive to be as transparent and simple as possible.
By using only 8-10 ingredients per formula, you don’t have to worry about hidden fillers. Just the good stuff

THE DIFFERENCE

Certified Organic, Kosher Certified, and/or Non-GMO Project Verified.

The ingredients we use to develop our products are sourced from vendors whose oils and butters are USDA Certified Organic, Kosher Certified, and/or Non-GMO Project Verified. All of our carrier oils and butters are unrefined and cold-pressed. All of our essential oils are steam-distilled. Our clays are naturally occurring sediments, and our powders are organic and finely ground. The method of extraction matters — it determines how potent and how clean the final ingredient really is. Every one of our ingredients comes from a superior vendor, because we refuse to make an inferior product.
Cold-pressed, not expeller-pressed.
Cold-pressed extraction uses mechanical crushing under low-temperature controlled conditions to extract oil from seeds, fruits, and nuts. Unrefined means no additional refining or processing afterward. This process guarantees the highest quality and preserves the ingredient’s natural scent, color, and nutrients — which is what makes the oil truly exceptional for skincare. Refined oils lose most of their nutrients in the refining process. Expeller-pressed oils lose much of the same. We stay away from both because most of the benefits we actually want are destroyed by heat.
Dedicated research.
We researched and selected essential oils that blend well with our carrier oils across each unique formula. Every formula is different. That’s the difference. Instead of creating one or two generic blends loaded with a dozen oils and marketing it for “all skin types,” we studied which carrier and essential oils are best suited for each specific skin type and concern. All carrier and essential oils are great for skin in general — some are just better at targeting specific issues than others.
All of the carrier oils and butters we use to formulate our products have fast-to-average absorption rates and a comedogenic rating of three or lower.
And because you’re family, we wanted to give you all the information you need to make confident decisions — about our products, our ingredients, your skin type, and how it all works together. We don’t believe in choosing skincare based on a vague ingredient list. That’s why we built out our entire website to explain every ingredient, its benefits, and exactly why it’s in your formula. For your peace of mind.
